Designed for Boat Owners who want to focus on the adventure and have some extra assistance on board. Sentinel Sail continuously analyzes the acoustic and vibrational signatures of your vessel's critical systems, surfacing developing faults while they are still maintenance items rather than emergencies.
Installed into your dashboard console alongside your existing navigation suite, Sentinel Sail provides a real-time visual representation of your vessel's acoustic health.
Acoustic signatures remain within the two defined safety thresholds, indicating all monitored systems are functioning optimally.
When a performance signature spikes out of range, the system instantly alerts the helm, isolating the exact system requiring attention.
Shows the operator the specific acoustic frequency signature triggering the alert, comparing it to baselines to assist in finding the cause. Every alert is shown with its confidence level and the baseline it deviated from, so an operator can see why the system flagged it, not just that it did.
Our proprietary acoustic AI is trained to recognize the healthy "heartbeat" of your yacht, identifying subtle deviations that threshold-based alarms are not designed to catch.
Small print, stated up front: how wrong can we be?
Any system that listens for trouble can fail in two directions—it can miss a real fault, or it can cry wolf. We treat both as engineering specifications rather than marketing. Sentinel Sail learns a baseline for your vessel, not a generic yacht, over an initial run-in period, and every alert carries a stated confidence level alongside the frequency signature that produced it, so you can weigh it yourself before acting. Thresholds are tuned against an explicit false-alarm budget, measured in alerts per hundred engine hours, because an alarm you learn to ignore is more dangerous than no alarm at all. We are still building the labelled fault data needed to state sensitivity and false-alarm rates honestly. As the Founding Captains fleet accumulates hours, we will publish measured detection and false-alarm figures per monitored system on this page—including the systems where performance is not yet good enough to rely on.
Detects cavitation, imbalance, or entanglement from weeds and debris on the propeller before drivetrain damage occurs.
Monitors the hull's acoustic signature to detect excessive weed growth, barnacles, or impacts while underway.
Analyzes normal engine operation and ensures muffler acoustics remain within safe ranges, preventing exhaust failures.
Identifies abnormal pressure pump acoustics or continuous running, instantly alerting you to low water levels or leaks.
Tracks acoustic frequency of bilge pump operations, alerting you if usage falls outside of expected historical ranges.
Monitors the acoustic signatures of essential onboard equipment—generator, winches, and thrusters—to catch wear and faults before they leave you stranded.
Your privacy is important to you— and so is your time.
Optionally authorize a yacht service and repair organization of your choosing to monitor your vessel remotely. Through a dedicated dashboard, your trusted experts keep watch over your boat's health alongside the rest of the fleet in their care.
View Service DashboardSentinel Sail is a revolutionary technology currently in active development. We are actively onboarding dedicated sailboat owners (vessels 20 to 80 feet) into our Founding Captains Program to provide vital acoustic data from their boats. We are actively shaping the product details directly around your needs.
Our Philosophy
We believe in giving users the absolute benefit of the data and support they provide. Founding Captains will be the very first to benefit from the finalized technology.
